FIH becomes the skill and knowledge partner of IIT Kharagpur to support planning, designing, promoting, implementing and operating "School for Skills: Healthcare & Technology" under Dr. B C Roy Multi-Speciality Medical Research Centre at IIT Kharagpur. The objective is to train youths from local and adjoining areas as allied health workers and make them employable in the healthcare sector at both IIT Kharagpur and all over India.
The school is located within the premises of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerji Superspeciality Hospital.
“School for Skills” (SFS) is an initiative of FIH. SFS has over 13 years of experience in training paramedical personnel in six (6) states of India, having trained over 5000 youths, with 80% of them now employed in over 80 hospitals in all major cities in India.
The school is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms. There are a number of teachers including nurses, doctors, and health sector experts.
