2990 scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) youth have been trained/pursuing training across multiple SFS academies in West Bengal under the mandates awarded by West Bengal Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward Classes Development & Finance Corporation (under Backward Classes Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal). We have already executed three (3) mandates to train 2810 SC and ST students across South 24 Pgs, North 24 Pgs, West Midnapore, East Midnapore, Jhargram, Hooghly, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri. Execution of the fourth (4th ) and fifth (5th ) mandate (Training of 180 SC youth and upskilling of 136 certified Frontline Health Workers as General Duty Assistants) are ongoing.

SFS: HT Academy is first of its kind initiative by the Centre for Nanotechnology at IIT Guwahati. Inaugurated by Prof. TG Sitharam, Former Director IIT Guwahati, and funded by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India, the centre has been imparting training among rural and semi urban youth (over 60% female students) as Allied Health Professionals (AHP). We have been chosen as the “Skill & Knowledge Partner” for the operation and management of the center. The students are being specially trained in the usage of frugal health technology for translating the technology to the last mile population.

Now, the centre is being operated in collaboration with Bio NEST, IIT Guwahati.

SFS: HT Academy is one of its kind initiative by the Centre for Rural Development & Technology (CRDT) at IIT Indore. The centre has been imparting training among rural youth (predominantly female students) as Paramedical Technicians and Community Health Workers. We have been chosen as the “Skill & Knowledge Partner” of CRDT for the operation and management of the centre.

SFS: HT at IIT Guwahati and SFS Academies (Sonarpur and Chuchura, West Bengal) have been selected by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, for the training on "Customized Crash Course Programme for COVID warriors", inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 18th June, 2021. Students from SFS: HT at IIT Guwahati participated in this prestigious virtual inauguration program. Over 100 students have been trained under this mandate.

85 students have been trained from SFS: AHS, Sonarpur under the mandate awarded by FICCI through Millennium Alliance Round 6 grant. This mandate was completed in March 2023.
