Accurate conduct of pathological diagnostic tests is a critical requirement of patient care. Doctors depend on test results for deciding treatment of a patient. As a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) you will learn how to collect and store samples, analyse them in various equipment and create reports.. The course includes elements of blood bank management, materials management, supply chain management as well as lab information system management. Additionally, graduates from this course are trained to clean and maintain lab equipment, manage biomedical waste and adhere to quality control standards as per the NABL regulations.
Draw blood sample from patients using correct technique, arterial blood sampling, paediatric and neonatal blood sampling, capillary sampling
Prepare and label the blood samples for test, procedures and identification purposes
Transport the blood samples to the laboratory
