Allied Health Professional Training at Gujarat

Jan Vikas Trust has entrusted JSV with a mandate to train about 500 rural youth in Gujarat. This large project started across 5 locations simultaneously in a hybrid mode (in-person and online) online and physical mode. The technology, process, study material, faculty arrangement, scheduling were all resolved in a smooth manner. JSV now conducts similar hybrid training in West Bengal, Assam and Gujarat in a multilingual format. Building capacity through such training paves the way for further livelihood generation for these rural youths.

PMKVY CSCM (COVID skilling & Upskilling) Scheme

Four (4) training centres under School for Skills (SFS) have been selected by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, for the training on COVID specific Customized Crash Course Programme, inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 18th June, 2021.Fifty (50) students have completed classroom training (theory and skill lab) at School for Skills: Healthcare and Technology, IIT Guwahati, Assam. Nine (9) candidates have been certified under Upskilling Program (RPL).At present, training of eighty (80) students is ongoing at Sonarpur and Chuchura centre under SFS, in West Bengal.

CARE PROJECT

After successful completion of the first mandate (training of 1750 scheduled caste/tribe youth in West Bengal), West Bengal SC, ST & OBC Development and Finance Corporation, Govt. of West Bengal awarded JSV a second mandate for training of further 1000 SC and  ST youth across seven (7) districts of West Bengal. Students will be trained in multiple job roles across multiple centres, including the hill region. The program started on 23rd February, 2021.  Amidst the adverse circumstances due to the second wave of the pandemic, it is indeed a great achievement for us.

Visit by Hon’ble Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship

Hon’ble Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan visited “School for Skills:Healthcare and Technology” during his visit to IIT Guwahati on 21.11.2021 in the presence of Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Director of IIT Guwahati. He interacted with our former students and appreciated them. We are thankful to the Hon’ble Minister for his kind words.

Recruitment at Apollo Chennai

Five students from our Medinipur, Sonarpur and Chinsurah centres have been recruited as “Public Relationship Officers” at Apollo Hospital in Chennai.

Dr. Graham’s School for Skills: Allied Health Sciences

JSV sets foot in the hills, Dr Grahams Homes School Kalimpong signs agreement with JSV enabling establishment of Dr Graham’s School for Skills: Allied Health Sciences” at the Centenary Cottage within the school premises. The centre is expected to be operational in mid-August 2022.

Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) Eastern Regional Committee Meeting

At HSSC Eastern Regional Committee Meeting held on 19.08.22, Dr.Satadal Saha was invited to deliver a lead lecture regarding Skill India Initiatives in Healthcare.
